In 2001, Edelman Leather launched their
second all-leather showroom in Chicago. 
Being fans of the new Bright direction with
Designs by Douglas Levine, Bright was chosen
as the medium to show off Edelman Leather.  Our history together was started.

Today, 10 years later, designers can now specify their favorite Edelman leather’s on their favorite Bright designs with ease.  The full Edelman Leather collection is available through all Bright showrooms and representatives with graded in prices

“I remember when we first provided furniture for the Edelman Chicago showroom,” Stan Gottlieb, President Bright Chair Company recalls, “we called the Edelmans in to help us navigate the hides and their markings.  They imparted their philosophy about the beauty of the natural markings and their inherit use in the products we were producing. These were not to be cut away but used and celebrated as part of the design aesthetic of leather furniture.   Over the years we have come to own that mantra and appreciate the similarities of our commitment to quality and design”

Since the late 20’s the Bright Chair Company has been a leader in manufacturing finely tailored quality wood furniture from traditional to classic contemporary styling.  Each piece is handmade in their Middletown, NY facility ensuring consistency of production and allowing for personalized customization.
